Plus with the flash cards, you see the words written and aren’t just guessing at sounds the way a baby would. Personally I feel that I’ll get the knack for writing eventually, and the verbal stuff is 80 percent of the battle so it’s a great start. That could be good or bad, depending what you’re looking for. Downside is the lack of writing exercises, but this program focuses on conversation and not writing. I feel that I’m already being put into the mindset of the language and developing a comfort with speaking phrases and not just memorizing vocabulary. It’s not intimidating to simply open the app and listen to a lesson while getting ready in the morning or driving to work, and the app has a few flash card exercises to reinforce what you just heard without feeling like overwhelming, chore-like homework that you’ll just avoid and procrastinate doing. What I like about it compared to other language methods I’ve tried is how approachable it is.
